Water & Sanitation

  • Water Supply: Ensures safe drinking water is available to all villagers through the construction and maintenance of wells, handpumps, water tanks, and pipelines.
  • Sanitation & Waste Management: Manages public toilets and drainage systems, and organizes regular garbage collection and disposal. The Gram Panchayat also conducts cleanliness drives as part of the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Infrastructure & Community

  • Infrastructure Development: Builds and maintains village roads, bridges, and street lighting. It also constructs and manages community halls, playgrounds, and cremation grounds for public use.
  • Welfare & Social Security: Implements various government schemes, including old-age pensions, widow pensions, and housing programs like the PM Awas Yojana. The Gram Panchayat also runs women’s empowerment programs.

Health & Education

  • Health & Nutrition: Operates primary health centers and Anganwadi (immunization and nutrition) centers. It also conducts health awareness programs and tests drinking water quality.
  • Education: Maintains primary schools and village libraries. It also runs adult education programs and, in some villages, digital learning centers to promote literacy and skills.

Agriculture & Administration

  • Agriculture & Employment: Supports farmers with irrigation facilities and implements the MGNREGA scheme to provide local employment opportunities. It also organizes training camps to raise awareness about government subsidies.
  • Administrative Services: Provides essential administrative services such as issuing birth, death, and residence certificates. It also maintains village records, manages ration cards, and organizes Gram Sabha meetings to ensure public participation in local governance.

Environment

    • Green Initiatives: Organizes plantation drives and promotes watershed management. The Gram Panchayat also raises awareness about soil and water conservation and supports renewable energy projects like solar lighting.
